About Us
The Provincial Grand Lodge meets at the Masonic centre, Northgate Street, Athlone and at the Masonic Centre An Triantan, Bothar an Choiste, Castlegar, Galway On the fourth Tuesday in February, May, and November in Athlone, with the September meeting in Galway Founded in 1866. The Province of South Connaught is numerically the smallest Masonic Province in the Grand Lodge of Ireland. The province includes the county of Galway, that part of the county Roscommon lying south of a line drawn from Castlereagh to Termonbarry (including those towns), and the town of Athlone . The province of South Connaught consists of 4 lodges namely Lodge 14 which meets in Galway city and the remaining 3 lodges that meet in Athlone and consisting of Lodge 248 which originally met in Roscommon, Lodge 137 which originally met in Ballinasloe and lodge 101 the original Athlone lodge. We welcome visiting brethren to join with us at any of our meetings. |
